HAMISH FREW

DIRECTOR

 

Hamish has long been in the contracting industry since 1990. Hamish has built up the Company to a strong Team of personnel and complementing divisions. Hamish has placed strong focus on delivering projects in a timely and effective manner that has seen Frews Contracting establish strong relationships with some of Canterbury’s main players including – Ngai Tahu, CIAL, CCC, CERA, Civil Defence, CDHB to name a few.

TOM CLARK

DIVISION MANAGER

 

Tom has been with Frews for over ten years, specialising in Resource Management. With a background in the mining industry, Tom has seen Frews expand into quarrying operations, and more recently the expansion of their recycling activities. Tom’s experience in this field has provided for ingenious solutions to clients waste management problems, covering aspects from resource consents to operational efficiencies. Tom also holds an A grade quarry management certificate.

BRENDAN TWEEDIE

OPERATIONS MANAGER

 

Brendan has been with Frews Contracting since beginning of 2015. His experience in contracting comes from 20 years of managing forestry roading, and three years managing pipelines down south. He is now managing all the forestry and civil work Frews complete while also overlooking the day to day operations at Frews.

BARRY TAYLOR

TRANSPORT MANAGER

 

Barry has been with Frews for over 40 years. Barry has over 25 years’ experience managing all the truck drivers Frews employee and also has over 20 years’ experience driving trucks as well. Barry has a natural ability to coordinate the truck drivers to ensure efficiency and effectiveness; he also has a vast knowledge of demolition and site works. Barry now has over 45 years’ experience in the industry.


MARK PALMER

TRANSPORT BUSINESS MANAGER

 

Mark has been with Frews for four years now and has been Transport Business Manager for two years. Mark has 10 years’ experience in the transport industry.  Mark has strong customer focus and willing to go the extra mile to ensure clients get what they want, when they want it without any fuss.


ROSS VOICE

HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGER

 

Ross has been with Frews for nearly 25 years and over the years been involved with demolition, site works, and recycling. He recently has taken over as Health and Safety Manager for the company, this transition came naturally for him given his extensive knowledge and skills he has developed in the industry over the past 30 years.

PHIL WOODHAM

DEMOLITION MANAGER

 

Phil has been with Frews for six years. Coming from owning and operating a small contracting and cartage business specialising in general earthworks and transport. Phil is now responsible for the day to day running of crews, contracts efficiency, planned resources, plant allocation, cost management, quality implementation and monitoring. Phil now has over 10 years’ experience in the industry


 

HAYDEN SHIVAS

ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

 

Hayden has been with Frews for nearly three years. Hayden came to Frews fresh out of graduating the University of Canterbury with a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours, focusing on Project Management while studying. Hayden helps coordinate all the residential demolitions applying what he has learnt while studying as well as adapting to meet all situations that may arise during a building demolitions.




ROB PAYN

MECHANIC

 

Rob has worked for Frews for over 25 years and specialises in maintaining all of our machinery. Before Frews he worked in Australia gold mines servicing the machinery just for mining. Rob now has nearly 40 years’ experience in the industry. 


RICKY DENCH

MECHANICAL ENGINEER

 

Ricky was been with Frews for three years. He looks after all engineering for our machinery attachments and some building structures. Previous to Frews Ricky worked as an engineer specialising in industrial equipment. Ricky now has over 20 years’ experience as an engineer.


ROCHELLE WINDERS

ADMINISTRATOR MANAGER

 

Rochelle joined Frews in April 2013.  Rochelle has 18 years’ experience in Computer Accounting Systems, Excel, Word, Desk Top Publishing, Payroll, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Financial and accounting knowledge.  Her ability to work through issues, set up systems, and oversee an administration team has added value to the working environment. Rochelle has built a rapport with clients and suppliers to have ensure good working relationships.    


TRISH O'BRIEN

OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

 

Trish joined Frews in July 2015. Trish has 24 years experience in computer accounting systems, MYOB accouting, payroll, word, excel, infusion, photoshop, website managment and accounts payable and receivable. In a short time Trish has become a valuable part of our team.

DAMIEN PROVIS

BUSINESS ANALYST

                

 

Damien joined the Frews team as an administrator in April 2014, upon completion of his Master's degree in Classics. Having transitioned into the role of an analyst, he studiously works to improve efficiency through constant reporting on both jobs and plant. In addition to this, his responsibilities include stock management, orchestrating any salvage sales that Frews may engage in, and developing Frews' project management software to ensure that it is better utilised.
